How Do You Sleep At Night?

In every likelihood, you and I will sleep very comfortably tonight. We won’t fear for our safety, our family’s safety or the safety of the national infrastructure that we use.

This is because in our countries, we have intelligence services, emergency services, law enforcement services and legal services that prevent us from being at high risk from any temporal threat.

These people, most of whom we don’t know nor will ever meet, are our ‘without whom’, as in ‘thank you to those protecting national security, without whom, we wouldn’t sleep well at night.

Now onto you.

As a business owner, I will sleep comfortably tonight. This is because I possess cash reserves, operating expenses reserves, the sales pipeline is very healthy, and my business is running smoothly to the budgets set for it.

Somewhere a business owner is not sleeping comfortably tonight. This is because they do not possess cash reserves, operating expenses reserves, their sales pipeline is empty and their business doesn’t even know what a budget is, much less stick to one.

The difference between the two businesses?

A proactive accountant. An accountant who cares.

You are the ‘without whom’ in the lives of your clients.

They sleep soundly thanks to your input and intelligence. Assuming you’re charging correctly for the work you do, you should sleep soundly too.

Neither of you, will fear for your organisation’s safety or future. Not when there are ‘without whom’ accountants around.

To your success,
